June to Remember

The final day will be a true celebration of the land, featuring:

• manual wheat harvesting with the traditional falnara
• passing the wheat sheaves through an old threshing machine, currently being restored
• live music in the fields played on the accordion, a beloved instrument of Romagna’s farmers, born and crafted in Mondaino, just a few kilometres away
• tractor rides
• donkey walks
• Romagna cooking classes, using the rolling pin just like in the past
• an outdoor barbecue featuring a Romagna excellence: Grigione di San Leo, a free-range pig raised in a 100-hectare woodland

Hotel Aurora, together with Azienda Agricola Due Tigli, has chosen to tell the story of Romagna starting from what made it great:
the land, the people, and the simple gestures that allowed life to continue.

This is how an authentic rural tourism experience was born — a holiday that is not just about relaxation, but about participation.
Guests become the main characters in a living re-enactment of the humblest yet most essential professions of all: those of the farmers.

Romagna’s tourism, now known all over the world, is the result of the sacrifices of our grandparents.
Men and women who helped one another, transforming huts into hotels, and simple kitchens into places filled with fragrant dishes, made from the products of a genuine, healthy and shared land.

In June, a special week will take shape, where days at the seaside alternate with rural activities, following a natural, human rhythm.

Guests will experience firsthand what has been prepared in the months before, sharing work, stories and traditional gestures.
